Success of the training on video editing and YouTube channel management organized by the Tribute Committee to Sylvain ZONGO

On March 22 and 23, 2025, the École Supérieure des Techniques Avancées (ESTA) hosted an intensive training session on video editing techniques and YouTube channel management. Organized by the Sylvain ZONGO Tribute Committee, this initiative aimed to provide participants with practical and strategic skills to create and present quality video content.

A Practical and Enriching Training

For two days, participants benefited from a complete immersion in the world of video editing and digital content management. Led by expert trainer Fadila Néré, the workshops covered several key topics such as mastering video editing software, YouTube channel management strategies, optimizing titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails to improve visibility, visual storytelling techniques, and creating engaging stories to capture audience attention.

An initiative to honor the memory of Sylvain ZONGO

This training is part of the activities organized by the Tribute Committee to Sylvain ZONGO, an inspiring figure known for his commitment to youth and digital technologies. By sharing these skills, the Committee perpetuates the spirit of innovation and sharing that inspired Sylvain ZONGO, a pioneer of the Internet in Burkina Faso and of Free Software in Africa.

According to Izaï TOE, representing Lamoussa, known as Daouda SORGHO, President of the Committee, at the opening ceremony: “This training is a concrete way to continue Sylvain ZONGO’s legacy. We want to give young people the tools to express themselves and succeed in the digital economy.”

Satisfied and motivated participants

The participants praised the quality of the training and the teaching approach adopted. Aimé Kassoum Kienou, known as General Kienou, one of the beneficiaries, said: “I learned practical skills that I will immediately apply to improve my YouTube channel. This is a valuable opportunity for us, the participants in this training.”

Building on this success, the Sylvain Zongo Tribute Committee plans to organize other training sessions to support more young people in their digital and entrepreneurial journeys.
